The Quayside


Scott, Zoe and their staff will make you feel very welcome in this first floor gastronomic paradise. Overlooking Stourport Marina, with the River Severn beyond, this casual bistro and bar offers fabulous food at extremely affordable prices. Offering a wide selection of dishes from Steaks, burgers, homemade dishes (lasagne, Seafood Risotto to name but two) and absolutely amazing beer battered cod, chips and peas! Scott specialises in seafood and every other Thursday offers a wide selection of fresh Cornish shellfish from huge crabs and lobsters to oysters, mussels and Gambas. Drinks are served from the fully licenced bar and seating is arranged inside and also on the deck, overlooking the Marina.

The Black Star


Andy and Maria welcome you to this canal side pub which offers Wye Valley Brewery beers and a good selection of other beverages, including an extensive range of Gins. Serving good home prepared food. Menus are available to view at BALDWIN HOUSE. Kitchen closed on Mondays, although they invite you to order or bring takeaway food into the pub on Mondays, and will provide you with cutlery and crockery, whilst you continue to enjoy their extensive selection of drinks from the bar. They have a large canal side garden that is particularly popular in summer months. Many local live music acts perform at The Black Star at weekends and during the week.


The Olde Beams


Dunley Road (just across the bridge), is a large country pub serving super gastro style meals each lunchtime and evening (Carvery on a Sunday). They have a large garden area which is away from the road. They also welcome families and larger groups(although with larger groups, by prior arrangement). The Angel Inn


Our only true riverside pub, with a large seating area outside–glorious when the sun is shining!–Traditional pub food served daily. Excellent ales and two recently refurbished bars and a lounge area.


Severn Tandoori


Located on Bridge Street, this is a large, traditional Indian restaurant, with separate bar and seating area, air conditioned, offering white linen table cloths and silver cutlery. The food is of the highest standards for traditional Indian cuisine. Due to their size, they can accommodate larger parties easily.


Namaste


Indian Eatery, the closest to BALDWIN HOUSE, this small Indian “bistro” style restaurant becomes very busy most evenings. Offering really quite unique Indian Cuisine, many of our guests say it is “the best they have ever eaten”. They offer a special deal from Monday to Thursday-£9.95for three courses.


China City


Cantonese Restaurant on the A449 near Ombersley (5miles/10mins drive from BALDWIN HOUSE). Spacious, air conditioned restaurant, white linen tablecloths, many round tables, and separate bar area. Excellent and varied Cantonese cuisine. We say, well worth the drive out.


The Hollybush


A very short walk around the corner from BALDWIN HOUSE in Mitton Street. A spectacular real ale tavern, offering a selection of 4-5 guest ales (changed very regularly), and their own Black Country Ales craft beers (three: Pig on the wall, BFG and Fireside). Bar snacks, including pork pies and pastries with pickles are on offer too. Upstairs–Sports bar with Sky-Sports TV, and a rear elevated garden for al-fresco drinking. Perfect.



The Lombard TapRoom


Located a short walk along Lombard Street(opposite the Co-op) this specialist bar offers an extensive range of craft and specialist beers and benefits from a canal-side terrace. great ambiance! Live music at weekends.


The Lodge


is just behind The Swan, in Lombard Street, and offers wine, cocktails and ale in a stylish and lively bar environment. They also have  smaller live entertainment acts, especially at weekends.

Stourport Fairground

Stourport Fair is located in the centre of town, next to the river. It is a very short walk from BALDWIN HOUSE.

The fair is open most days of the year
and provides thrilling rides, refreshments and an amusement arcade.

Severn Valley Railway



The Severn Valley Railway operates both steam and diesel locomotives between Kidderminster and Bridgenorth in Shropshire.

The route follows the River Severn and provides specatular scenery.

There are many picturesque stations en-route  where passengers can alight and explore the surrounding towns & villages

West Midlands Safari Park

West Midlands Safari Park is a top regional attraction and is located a mere 4miles from BALDWIN HOUSE. An excellent day out for families and couples alike.

The Park includes a drive-through safari as well as an extensive fairground.
